A few things about the weekend

Had an super awesome weekend and I have lots of tell you! In order of no importance, the scoop is:

1) I have actually been reading books! I usually try to read about 60 pages a day, but with all the scrapbooking I've been doing, my reading has slipped a bit. But I'm on track again. Weeeeee! (Not a very interesting topic, but it's my damn blog.)

2) Hit the casinos on Saturday and played a little blackjack with my brother-in-law. I was the airhead at the table, as I'm nothing short of a blackjack idiot, but it was still fun and somehow I managed to win some money. Take that, people! Also, the automatic card shuffler at the table was like something out of Star Trek. I want one.

3) I promised my mother that I would not make fun of her for the way she says Crackle ... er, Cracker Barrel. So I won't. Not even a little bit. Not even though it is killing me.

4) Went to lunch with mom and Katy on Sunday prior to the movie. I missed the parking lot to the Taco Bell -- something about me not paying attention? -- so I parked next door at the Blockbuster because I am too frickin' lazy to turn around and fight traffic. But then I defeated the whole purpose and inadvertently made myself exercise. Who knew there'd be a hike through grass and inclines just to reach TB's front door? Dammit.

5) Also, what is the point of movie snacks if you are going to eat the whole freakin thing during the previews?

6) Devil Wears Prada is a good movie. Go see! Then read the book. Or vice versa. Doesn't matter. Just do it (cuz I say).

7) Now look at these lovely things:

Isn't my sister so beautiful? Either that or I take really, really, really good pictures. Thought I'd play a little with the black and white dealie on my camera. There will be scrapbooking layouts forthcoming, no doubt about it.

Alrighty, blogheads, I'm out for now. I've got to do this thing they call work, and it doesn't sound like a bit of fun.
